How I Sell My Music On My Website
By author: James Matsenary
I decided to sell my music on my website because I wanted to make some real money. When I sell my music on my website, 2 things happen. One is I get to keep all of the money and two is I get paid as soon as I sell my music on my website because I’ve discovered a way to do so. I like you, so I am going to quickly explain how you can too.
My name is James and yes, I am an independent artist just like you. For years now, I’ve wanted to sell my music on my website but couldn’t find a reliable way to do so. There are a ton of services out there that will do this for you I know because I have tried a lot of them during my quest. The thing that I’ve found about these services though is they all want control of your music.
Some want the right to distribute the music how they see fit or flat out just have some many details it’s not worth the effort. So I kept searching online for ways to sell my music on my website and came across even more of these types of offers. This time there was services that would let you sell your music but they get a percentage of your money. Not just that, you have to wait around for 30 days or more to receive a check. So in my quest to sell my music on my website I tried a few of these services because I was thinking that I could at least triple my money when the checks did come.
What I found is that more than half were a waist of time. I could make more money consigning in my local record store. The local record store does charge a fee also but when they run out of product, they call you for more. Also when you get there with new product they have a check waiting for you too without the hassle. How is this however helping me sell my music on my website though? The answer is not at all, because there really aren’t enough stores anyway for me to make any real money.
